5.0 out of 5 stars 「オレンジ」の作者の切ないバラード：Song2, 2004/11/17
タイトルのfreebirdも、肩の力が抜けていて、聞いていて、気持ちのいい曲です。初期の元気いっぱいの曲とも違って、力を抜いても生きていける余裕が出てきたって感じで、聞いてきても、それが伝わってきて、心に余裕が出てきます。

でも、このＣＤは、カップリングのSong2が目当てで買いました。
Song2は、「オレンジ」とか＆Ｇの「Wonderful Life」の作者、市川喜康さんの作詞・作曲です。「オレンジ」同様、切ない別れの曲だけど、市川さんの詩は、ことばがありきたりでなくて、とてもセンスが良くて、独特の世界があります。切ない歌なのに、「恋をしたい」と思わせるような魅力があって、大好きです。最近のライブでは、「Drink!Smap!」で歌ってましたね。「オレンジ」が好きな人は多いと思いますが、その世界が好きな人は、きっと好きだと思います。

freebirdもいいけど、なんといってもカップリング曲がいい！DVD２００２ツアーを見ていい！と思い、探した探した。SONG２はいい！

最初聞いたときは、う~~ん！？って感じだったのですが（汗）
歌番組で何度か聴くうちに、おっいいじゃない！となってきて、ＳＭＡＰのシングルを初購入。
今ではＳＭＡＰで一番好きな曲になってしまいました。

歌詞がいいんですよね・・・ラブソングでもないし、人生応援歌とも違って・・・人それぞれの受け止め方が出来る、名曲だと思います。
