World Mix, Boheme, Comparsa といった、「民族音楽を素材をそのまま活かしつつ西洋風にさっぱりと味付けてみました」ものとはちと違う出来。
コンセプトは上記アルバムのものを踏襲しているが、純粋に「素材をそのまま活かしつつ」でない点がミソ。2人のテクノ・ロック・ダンスへの指向が明らかに見られるアルバム。評価は分かれそう。いつものが好きな人は★×2~3。

元ちとせのヴォーカルは美しい。

全体的に「西洋人が感じたオリエンタル」なので、東洋人の私にとっては、「ふぅーん」って感じで、いまいちでした。たぶん、エキゾチックな雰囲気を残そうとしたあまり、大してアレンジをほどこせず、結果東洋人には耳慣れすぎた音源にしかならなかった、というところでしょうか？　

でも、奥さん（日本人らしいです）へのラブソング「Yuki Song」はいい！　切なくて、胸に響きます。「Deep Blue See」も、すてきです。オリエンタルな感じがしなくて（おい）。

「三味線でロックしても、最初はものめずらしいけど、ひねりがないよね」なんて、私みたいに感じる人には、まずは視聴してから購入することをお勧めします。要は好みです。はい。

星が１ツから５ツまで、皆さんの評価がこれほど分かれるアルバムも珍しいと思うのですが、これは今までのＤ・Ｆをテクノやトランスと云ったジャンルで捉えているか、民族音楽のアレンジ＆コラボレーションいう新しいジャンルとして捉えているかの違いだと思います。

僕は後者なので、このアルバムには「土着」や「大地」と云ったこれまでの「独特な匂い」の無いのが非常に残念です。
彼らには歴史あるアジアの音楽をもっと深く追求して欲しかった・・・残念、というのが正直な感想です。
余談ですが、今年２月16日の大阪公演でも過去の作品のほうが圧倒的に盛り上がってました。
