高校時代にサントラ盤をFMエアチェックものが最高によかった。その後貸しレコード屋という新しい商売が始まったおかげでLPレコードを借りてテープに録音した。学生時代はテレビを持っていなかったので、常にラジオやレコードを聴いていたが、このテープは何回聞いたかわからない。新聞奨学生というバイトで毎日バイクに乗って新聞配達をしたが、よくサビの部分を口ずさんだ。
20年ぶりにDVDでこの映画を観た、字幕で初めて歌詞の意味を知ったが、そんなことを知らなくてもこのロックのリズムはワクワクと元気にしてくれる。
オープニングでダイアンレインがクチパクで歌っているとわかっていながら涙がでた。単に懐かしさからかもしれないし、失ってしまった若さへの悔恨の涙かもしれない。

今から約２０年前の学生の頃、合コンの帰り終電に乗り遅れて、新宿の映画館でオールナイトで後輩と４人で２回見ました。とにかくのりの好さは最高、マイケルパレとダイアンレインはめちゃかっこいいし、感動のアラシ。
当時ＬＰを後輩が買ったので録音してもらいました。ＣＤを探しに探して１０年。こんなところで出会えるとは。やっぱりアマゾンはええなー。

~最近の映画だと、単純にUSロックバンドとのコラボレーションが多いですが、
この作品は、全てが映画のための書き下ろし！
「ファイヤーインク」を筆頭に、「ブラスターズ」以外はすべて架空バンド＆サウンドという凝り方はスゴイ！
これこそクリエイティブって感じがします。
それがまた「Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young」がヒットしてしまったことがすごい！
~~
やっぱ８０年代のエネルギーってスゴイよね。~
