確かにこの１stと２ndは超名盤だけど、２枚共ベースとドラムを他人に差し替えて、ランディのギターもミックスし直すってのはなぁ~。納得出来ない。この時代に、このメンツで出来た事に意味があるんじゃない？ボブ・ディズリーとリー・カースレイクが怒るのも無理ないよ。（ボブのベースもかっこいい）オリジナル盤でも充分にランディの素晴らしいプレイは伝わるしね。何よりランディが生きていたら、こんな事、望まないと思う。というわけでオリジナル盤を探して聴いてね！（本当なら★５つだけど）

Van Halenの"炎の導火線"やAC/DC"Back in Black" MSGの"神"など、ハードロック史の中には不変・不動でありたい永遠のアルバムがある。
BLIZZARD of OZZ..（当初これがバンド名だったよね）はズバリそれだと言って異論の無いところだろう。
なにしろ'80に発売以来ずーっと売れ続けてるんだそうである。

楽曲の良さ、完成度の高さ、そして神格化されたギタリスト‥‥売れて当たりマエ！！
しかし、ＬＰレコードがすり切れた、貸したＣＤが帰って来ないとなって再度買う場合はちょいと注意‥‥「リミックス」である。
のっけから、アレ？っと来る。i don't knowのSEから違う。‥‥こんなにベース元気良かったっけ？

実は2002年に再発時、リミックスしたらしい、なんとドラムとベースは差し替え！　別人なんだそうである。
まあ、それはそれで悪くない。ギターのニュアンスは確かに浮上してる。
ただ個人的にはジャケットを替えて別モノとしてほしかった。

前出の「不変・不動でありたい」なんて、これを聴くまで思いもしなかったわけで、さああなた！　買ってこの気持ちを共有しましょう。

オリジナルと比べると今一つしっくりこない。ランディーのギターはアナログ録音なのに対しリズム隊がデジタル録音なので違和感が否めない。9曲目のスティール・アウェイだとそれが顕著に表れており、この曲の聴き所の一つであるボブ・ディズリーの疾走感あふれるベースが全く別物に差し替えられているので残念でならない。天国のランディーも嘆いているに違いない。
