   1984年から85年にかけて制作、放送された、「ルパン三世」テレビシリーズ第3作。全50話を10枚のディスクに完全収録したDVDボックスセット。
   アルセーヌ・ルパンの孫、ルパン三世とその仲間の次元大介、石川五エ門、峰不二子、ルパンを追う銭形警部といった、前2作で確立されたレギュラーキャラクターがキャストもそのままに活躍。デザインはきわめてラフでコミカルなイメージとなっており、そういう意味では最もモンキー・パンチの原作テイストに近いといえるかもしれない。
   また、ストーリー展開や演出も、シリーズ中で最もスラップスティックコメディとしての度合いが高い。映画版や前2作に比べてやや影が薄いシリーズではあるが、見逃すのはもったいない出来となっている。（田中 元）

1983年に読売テレビ主導で制作されたテレビ第3シリーズ。
野球中継などでガンガン放送が中断したため、
「伝説のシリーズ」と化している。
スタッフを固定しない方針のため、回によって仕上がりはまちまち。
途中でキャラデザインも路線変更しており、迷走ぶりがうかがえるが、
「新しいものを作ろう」とする心意気は感じられる。

大野雄二の劇伴は、アレンジに軽薄さが否めないものの、
それもまたバブルな80年代らしくていいのでは。

シリーズ屈指の「珍作」と名高い？
鈴木清順の「悪のり変装曲」は一見の価値あり。
何度見ても意味不明なところがGoodです。

購入して、実は初めてピンクのジャケットのルパンを見ました。でも、私は原作の絵が好きだったこともあり、なじめない、ということもなく、楽しめました。

ストーリーやタッチ、構成はより「現代のアニメ」という感じがしました。１ｓｔ、２ｎｄシリーズに見ることのできるレトロ感はあまりありません。一つ気になったのは、１ｓｔや２ｎｄに比べてやたらセクシーシーンがたくさんあること。不二子ちゃんのみならず適役やゲストキャラまでやたらめったらセクシー。話によっては子供と見るのは不向きかもしれません。このセクシーシーンの満載さはある意味原作に近いのかも。と思います。

他のシリーズと比べると陰の薄いこの作品。
しかし、なんでもありの自由度と言う点では
全シリーズ中一番であると思う。
スタッフがやりたいようにやっているのだと言うのが
感じられる。
その意味では後のＴＶスペシャルの布石ともいえるだろう。
