本来、ロックンロールというものはどこか男の子ちっくなモノだと思い、それが欠落しているロックンロールはどこか物足りなさを感じます。そういう意味ではこの「ＲＯＳＳＯ」というのは文句無しの純度１００％ロックンロールだと思いました。３ピースＢＡＮＤがまたカッコイイしリズム隊（ＢＡＳＳ・ＤＲＵＭＳ）がしっかりしています。また、チバユウスケ氏のギターも逆にあの単純明確なとこが良かった。もちろん、ＶＯはいう事無しです。　今の日本で一番のロックヴォーカリストだと思います。　個人的にはシャロン、モータープールなどがお勧めです。　平均的に全曲カッコ良いですけどね。

ROSSOの記念すべきファーストアルバムです。
曲全体を聴いてみるとわかりますが全力でロックンロールしてますね。カリプソベイビーや星のメロディー、そして名曲といっても過言ではないシャロンなどが収録されています。
このシャロン、歌詞の一節一節ごとに深く考えさせられ、自分だけの世界を想像してしまいます。
「砂漠で暮らすピンクのカラス青いガラス」
「月から抜け出す透明な温度だけ欲しいよ。それだけ、それだけ、シャロン」
このチバにしか書けないであろう世界観のある詩、聴いてる人も感傷的になってしまう叙情的なサウンド…
こんな曲に出会えたのは奇跡だと思います。

ASSFORTを知らないためドラムの方については何にも言えないんですが(死)、
チバさんと照井さんに関しては、この方達、かなり少年ぽいと言うか純粋というか…、
ある意味ロマンチストですよね？
見た目は硬派な感じだけど、曲聴いてるとすごくそんな気がする。
ミッシェル・ブランキー時代からそう思ってた。勝手に。

じゃなきゃ、こんな切ない歌詞書けないし、がなる歌うたえないし、暴れる音出せないし。
こんなに胸締め付けられるはずないし。
「シャロン」と「星のメロディー」が乙女(死)的にはガツンときました。
「カリプソ・ベイビー」もムチャクチャ良い。何でこんな詩書けるのよ？不思議でたまらん。
「グラスホッパーはノーヘル」もなんかかなり好きだし。

何度もリピートしては泣きそうになってる。阿呆だ。
飽きることなく聴いては口ずさむ名曲だらけ。すごく大好きなアルバム。
最高です。絶対聴くべし。
