今まで見てきた映画の中で一番映像が凄かったです。
ＣＧとか、そういうんじゃなくて。
見れば分かると思うけど、とにかく美しかったです。
全てがアートで、１つ１つ、どの角度からみても凄くて。
私は特にバッハの曲に合わせて映像が進む短編が
ものすごく気に入りました。

映像自体は、古いものなので決して美しいわけではない。
だが、そこに映るものの不可解さ、気味悪さ、見るものに不快感と同時に
暗い快感も与えてくれる。
哲学的、背徳的、逆説的な短編集。
思わずジーッと見入ってしまう、精神的な恐怖がある。
ドラッグムービーに近く、ストーリー性よりは世界観を楽しむもの。

収録作品：「シュヴァルツェヴァルト氏とエドガル氏の最後のトリック」「J.S.バッハ-G線上の幻想」「家での静かな一週間」「庭園」「ジャバウォッキー」「オトラントの城」

とにかく全編ブラック・ユーモア尽くし。短編集というくくりで見れば、一番のオススメ。
どれが一番気に入っているか迷うくらい、甲乙付けがたくブラック・ユーモアです。
映画館上映の折りは、一番人が入っていて、笑いも取っていたように見えました。

英国のパンチ＆ジョディ人形のような張りぼての頭部を持ったシュヴァルツェヴァルト氏とエドガル氏が手品を見せ合う「シュヴァルツェヴァルト氏とエドガル氏の最後のトリック」もブラックで良いですし、工作員風の男性が一週間部屋の中の出来事を観察している「家での静かな一週間」は大変不条理で笑えます。が、「庭園」の不条理さは筆舌に尽くしがたく。「ジャバウォッキー」は過剰な不気味さが小気味よく。「オトラントの城」は、オトラント城の調査をする博士の頑張り振りと、紙芝居的に語られる『オトラント城奇譚』がチープで良いです。
