   キッズステーションで放送され好評を博したCGアニメ。サーカスの道化見習いポピーと、その助手で正体不明のケダモノが一人前になるため日々の訓練を積む姿を描く。と書くとまるで努力と感動の物語のような印象を与えるかもしれないが、全編にわたって危険な香りに包まれた、かわいい外見を持ったブラックコメディがその実態。例えば、魔術の実験でケダモノの胴体切断にチャレンジしたところ、元に戻すことができず上下半身が別れたままとなり、しかもそれを行った張本人であるポピーは反省するふりしながら陰で大笑いしているといった具合。実に不謹慎ながらもツボを抑えた笑いが充満し、好きは人はこれなしでは生きられなくなる作品。なお、DVDでは放送を控えられてしまった第11話も完全収録。（田中 元）

セリフがまったくないので誰にでも理解できるのですが、誰にでも楽しめる内容ではありません。ブラックな笑いのオンパレードなので、小さいお子さんや心が弱っている人にはお勧めしません。

まずはVol1の『ナイフ投げ』あたりを見てみてください。『思ったよりブラックだな』と思った方は引き返した方が無難です。『結構面白い』と思えた方はディープな世界にようこそです。（笑）
私は無論、全編楽しめましたので、文句なしに星5つです。

最初見たときは、『なんてブラックユーモァのある話なんだろう』って思い、『これは子供には見せられないな！』と思った矢先に、うちの３歳になった娘が大喜びで見ていました。
一話が５分ほどのショート・ストーリーです。気楽に見られて、後味すっきり。
まずは騙された！と思って見てみてください。
きっとポピーやけだものが大好きになりますから。

1→3巻まで引力に抵抗できず買いました（●＾O＾●）。
荒めのレンダリングがむしろ良くて、今のきちっとしたレンダリングCGの「ガラクタ通りのステイン」よりいい味になっています。何しろ画面にくぎ付け無抵抗になるくらい面白いです。
パピーが登場してからの作品の方が(2巻からだと思います)のほうがよりパワーアップしている気がしますね。
