僕が小学校の頃、森山良子は歌謡曲の歌手だったはず・・。
しかし、僕がギターを手にし始めた頃は、フォークのプリンス・吉田拓郎と同様、フォークの女王として活躍をしていたのです。

「禁じられた恋」「恋はみずいろ」などは、歌謡曲のヒット・ナンバー。
「この広い野原いっぱい」「今日の日はさようなら」などは、やはり森山フォークといった感じです。
「歌ってよ夕日の歌を」は、吉田拓郎の曲。

しかし、なんと言っても「さとうきび畑」です。
この歌を聴くと、森山良子の平和の訴えを感じることができる。
このＣＤは、やさしい声で平和を綴るベストと言っても過言ではない。

最新のヒット曲こそ入ってないものの初期の作品から「さとうきび畑」まで、森山良子のヒット曲が目白押しです。
また定番の「思い出のグリーン・グラス」ほか「恋はみずいろ」や「悲しき天使」と言った共作のカバー曲も入っており、円熟味を増した森山良子の全てが分かります。
段階の世代から若者まで誰が聞いても懐かしい「今日の日はさようなら」ももちろん収録されています。
「禁じられた恋」や「恋人」も若い人にも是非聴いてもらいたいと思います。
森山良子の「涙そうそう」の原点がこのアルバムには濃縮されています。是非、聴いてみてください。
