5.0 out of 5 stars 80年代JUDAS PRIEST集大成の感もある名作, 2004/6/25
一部の評論家筋からの評判が悪い作品。確かにこの世界においては25710の「曲名」は最悪だとは思うが、内容的には非常に充実している。『SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE』『DEFENDERS OF THE FAITH』といった歴史に残る作品を経て、『TURBO』の実験を経て本作が集大成として産み出されたかの感もある。単なる疾走ナンバーに終わらず、途中で長調気味のメロディに転調する1や、大胆な長いギターソロに始まり、豪奢で複雑な構成を持つ2など聴きどころ満載である。Chuck Berryのカヴァー8もうまくアルバムに溶け込んでいる。

原型をとどめていないJohnny B. Goodeは、とりあえず聞いたほうが良い。
JUDASを聞いて、腹の底から笑ったのはコレが始めてでした。

評論家の言葉で避けずに聴いて確かめてみて下さい。

ペインキラーの路線を求めていたら違いますが、これ以前のアルバムも好きな方にならオススメです。
