リフの攻撃性は相変わらず痛いし、歌詞もまた強烈な個性である。ドラムも心地いい。傑作「god hates us all」にいたるまでの通過点にしかすぎないと思っていたがそうでもなく過去もこの先も変わらないスレイヤー魂を込めているアルバムである。そう考えると佳作くらいかなと評価してしまうのだが、速さはあるは、暗黒さはすごいし、昔のある種カルト性より音楽性で勝負している様は評価できる。

最近のへヴィブームやイベントbeast feastなんかを考えるとこのバンドのすごさが見えてくる。リスペクトされてあまりあるバンドだ。このアルバムの中でも「killing field」や「serenity in murder」なんて鳥肌。とはいえまだまだB級（そうじゃなかったらすいません）の映画サントラレベルっていうのはもったいないなあ。

全体的にゆっくりめかな？自分の中ではもう少しスピードが欲しいところ。しかし、さすがSLAYER。暗黒さと破壊的なイメージを醸し出しています。普通にカッコイイです。
