あまりラテン系は好きじゃないんだけど、これは素直に好きです。最初から最後まで情熱ふりそそいでくれます♪　曲はラテンパワーばりばりなものから、甘く切ないメローなものまでと、一見普通のセレクション。歌い方も確かにアラニス・モリセットとかに似ている（というか、彼女以降出てきた人はみんな同じ歌い方？けど、そこに秘められたShakiraの燃える魂は、他とは異なる独自の世界を生み出しています。
それにしても、母国語と外国語とでは声のトーンが違ってくるのですが、彼女の場合、英語が高く（ちょっとべたっとしてる？）、母国語が低い。先行シングル「Whenever Wherever」の英語版とラテン語（コロンビア語？）版が入っているので、それで聞き比べてください。私は後者の方が好きです。野太い声でかっこいい！！！　
魅惑の腰つきダンスが（ブリちゃんと比べて）全然いやらしくない、女が惚れる女です。

音楽にしても声にしても個性が強いので、好き嫌いはハッキリ分かれるのではないかと思います。
だからこそ、はまった人の心はガッチリとつかんで放さないのです。
誰の二番煎じでもない、これがシャキーラだと知らしめたアルバムです。

情熱的でスケールのでかい歌詞が素晴らしいです。
彼女の瞳の奥には、大自然と愛する人が常に宿っているよう。

音楽はタンゴ・アラビアン・ラテンロックと中近東を思わせるエキゾチックなものです。
そしてねばっこくも突き抜けるような声。

ビジュアルにだまされて、ただのセクシーラテンロックと思ってはいけません。
彼女は魂がセクシーなんです。

ラテン初心者の方は必ず試聴するようにしましょう。シャキーラ初心者は英語カバーのこのアルバムから始めたほうがよいかと思います。
