細野晴臣が主宰するレーベル、デイジーワールド・ディスクの主要アーティストが競演したオムニバス盤。細野本人と高橋幸宏の新ユニットによる書き下ろし新曲を筆頭に、聴きどころ満載。


内容 (「CDジャーナル・レビュー」より)

新しい体制で第3期のスタートを切ったデイジー・ワールドのサンプラー。プロデューサーの細野晴臣は、高橋幸宏と“コント”を意味する新ユニットを組み、ユーモラスな(15)を披露。このリスナーに脱力感をもたらす(15)は、かのスネークマン・ショーのカヴァーだ。また、ティン・パンの3人に、浜口茂外也、佐藤博、佐橋佳幸が加わった(8)は、2001年行なわれたコンサートのリハーサル音源である。そのほか、WORLD STANDARDやコシミハルなどお馴染みの面々に加えて、女性2人組の(2)や竹村延和との活動で知られる西山豊乃(5)、高遠彩子の歌をフィーチャーした三上敏視のユニット(11)など、以前から所属していたアーティストと新参入組の音源が混在。ここには、テクノや音響、ノイズ、ワールド・ミュージック、アメリカン・ルーツ・ミュージックなどの新種/珍種とでも言うべき音楽が咲き乱れている。まさにストレンジ・フラワーが百花繚乱といった趣のコンピレーションだ。 (渡辺亨) --- 2002年05月号
