イタリアンプログレのトップバンドの１つであるであるＮＴのライブアルバムです。
ＮＴのサウンドはバロックとロックを融合したクラシックロックなのですが、このアルバムではオーケストラとの競演という豪華なものになっています。

そのため、ＮＴの特徴である美しいボーカル、コーラスにオーケストラ（とりわけストリングス）の響きが加わって、よりドラマチックなサウンドになっています。また、収録曲も名曲「コンチェルトグロッソ１」「２」を含む彼らの代表作が収録されています。

非常に聴き応えのあるライブアルバムであり、クラシックロックファン、ユーロピアンプログレファンにお奨めしたいアルバムです。

オーケストラと競演してるので最初はその大仰なサウンドに面食らいましたが、メロディーの素晴らしさに聞き込むほどに愛着がわいて来るお気に入りの1枚です。イタリアにはシンフォ系のプログレバンドが多いですが、やはりその魅力はおおらかなメロディーと歌心につきますね、何ていうか、ほんとに愛着がわいてくるんです。もちろんバンドのテクニックも素晴らしく、２曲目のストリングスに絡むギターソロは泣きまくっていて何度聞いても感動します。個人的には、11曲目の『ある炭鉱夫の歌』がかなり好きです、歌詞もすごくいいです。

一般にプログレでくくられていますが、このアルバムはとても聴きやすいし、ライブ音源とは思えないほど音質も素晴らしいので、色んな人が楽しめる、このユーロロックの名作をぜひ聴いてみてください。

イタリアを代表するプログレバンドであるニュートロルスのライブアルバムです。選曲は、名曲「コンチェルトグロッソ１＆２」を含む代表曲からの選曲、しかもバックにオーケストラを従えた豪華ライブアルバムになっています。

サウンドの方も、彼らの特色である、美しいハイトーンボーカル、コーラス、高い演奏力、叙情的なメロディに、オーケストラ、とりわけストリングスの美しい響きが加わって、ブリティッシュプログレとはまた異なるイタリアンプログレ独特の美しい世界を作り出しています。

クラシックロックファンには是非聴いて欲しいアルバムですし、プログレファンも機会があれば聴いて欲しいアルバムです。
