エリス・レジーナの迫力と魅力を余すところなく伝えてくれる絶妙の選曲。一曲めがすごいから、と予告されていても、なおかつノックアウトされてしまう1.カント・ヂ・オッサーニャのライブに始まり、他では聴けないテイクを数々ちりばめ、おなじみジョビンとの28.アグアス・ヂ・マルソでしめる豪華なラインナップ。あっという間の28曲。ライナーノーツも一曲ずつ丁寧に解説を加えてくれていて、エリスを初めて聴く人には上質の教科書みたいな一枚です。エリスを長く聴いている人も、きっとお気に入りのアルバムになるはず。ベスト盤と銘打ったCDは何枚かありますが、その中でもこのカフェ・アプレミディ版はNo.1といってよいかも。（強いてわがままをいうなら、酔っ払いと綱渡り芸人も聴きたかったかな。でも星４つっていうことは絶対ないです。エリスなんだし。）午後のコーヒーにとどまらず、乾杯したくなるシアワセ。

たぶん「in London」がみなさん好きだと思いますが、このアプレミディのベスト盤はすごい内容。日本に生まれてよかったなと思える瞬間かも。EP盤のみに収録されていたナンバーも多数収録。ボクは１曲目の「オッサーニャの歌」でド肝を抜かれました。こんなにモノラル録音ってすごかったのかな？って。それだけ迫力あります。このライブ録音の時に居合わせていたらとさえ思うほど。んでラストはボッサデュエットの金字塔「三月の水」で終わる、あっという間の80分。ボクが買ったエリスの初めてのアルバムです。このアルバムから個々のアルバムを買って聞きました。入門としてもかなりポイントの高いオススメ盤です♪

アルバム「エリス・レジーナ・イン・ロンドン」の頃の弾けるような歌声を聴いたら、きっと彼女に魅せられること間違いなし！！
トム・ジョビンとのデュエットもステキです。
いろんな表情を見せてくれるとってもチャーミングなエリス・レジーナをこの1枚で楽しめます。
日本でのボッサ・ブームにハマッたあなたにオススメです。
