オイストラフ氏は，20世紀のヴァイオリニストの最高峰の一人として君臨し続けた演奏家の一人だ。明晰な解釈と楽曲に対する深い理解，卓越した力強い演奏，そして，それぞれの曲の持つ本来の美しさを最高度に表現する能力と感性。
このＣＤに収められた１つめの曲であるブルッフの「スコットランド幻想曲」は，とても美しく親しみやすい名曲の一つだと思うが，意外と知られていない。オイストラフ氏の演奏は，妙なセンチメンタリズムを排除し，曲それ自体のもつ本質的な美しさを最大限に引き出した名演だと思う。どなたにもお勧めしたい。
１つ目の曲であるヒンデミットのヴァイオリン協奏曲もなかなか耳にする機会の少ない曲の一つだと思われるが，これも隠れた名曲の一つと言えるのではないかと思われる。そもそもヒンデミットの音楽は，その後の作曲家達に対してだけではなく，ハリウッドの数え切れないほどの多数の映画音楽などにも大きな影響を与えており，いわば現代社会はヒンデミットが創り出した和声で満ち溢れていると言っても過言でもないのだが，案外食わず嫌いで演奏機会の少ない作曲家かもしれない。この曲は，ヒンデミット独特の多彩な和声と深いところから湧き出る一種のリリシズムときびきびしたリズム感とに満ちている。オイストラフ氏の演奏は，この曲のそうした良さをあますところなく引き出す名演である。
これもお勧めのＣＤ。

ブルッフの作品をあまり聴いたことがなかったのですが、これほどいいとはおもわなかった！一度聴いている価値あり！
ヒンデミットも捨てがたい。

オイストラフ爆発！という感じです。

このスコットランド幻想曲は、これまで聴いたものでは最高傑作だと思います。この曲の持つ優雅さと神秘的な表現力はオイストラフが、だれよりも一番感じさせてくれると思います。値段的にも絶対お勧めです。
