いやぁ、とにかく粋です。偉大なるスタイリストであるマイルスがこのアルバムの前では以上に野暮に思えます。雑用に追われる哀れなサラリーマンは、移動中の営業車で、持ち込んだしょぼいスピーカーで音楽をきくことが多くなってしまうのですが。悲しいかなほとんどのピアノトリオの音はロードノイズに消されて僕の耳には届きません。しかしこのアルバムは届きます、届きまくります。音楽性や録音のせいもあるかと思いますが、車の中でしっかりときけるピアノトリオのは今のところこのアルバムとホレス・パーラン「US THREE」位です。そしてノスタルジックの音像の中にも「ポインシアナ」のアレンジなどには音響的な、きわめて高い現代性を湛えています。と、小難しいこと書きましたが、そんなことは抜きにして、とにかくききましょう。気持ちエエから。
