   22歳には思えない成熟したノラ・ジョーンズの声色だけのアルバムではない。確かな歌い回しと正確にタイミングを見計らっている様は、もっと年季の入ったシンガーのようでもある。彼女の歌声はすぐに聞き分けられる。ビリー・ホリデーとニーナ・シモンを混ぜあわせたようでいて、ノラにしか聞こえない声。どこを切っても、彼女だとわかるシンガーだ。ハンク・ウィリアムズの定番「Cold Cold Heart」、そしてホーギー・カーマイケル「The Nearness of You」の解釈だけでも、このCDの価格の元は取れる。ジョーンズ自身の曲も悪くないが、こうした傑作の前では少々かすんでしまう。彼女とプロデューサーのアリフ・マーディンが、ビル・フリードマン、ケヴィン・ブレイト、ブライアン・ブレイドと言ったときめくような奏者たちを充分に生かし、もっと生き生きとしたアレンジを試みていれば、あるいは曲そのものをあまり簡潔にしすぎなければ、さらに良くなったことだろう。ジョーンズにはすべての才能が揃っている。あとは経験を積み、JJケールやシャーリー・ホーンのようなアーティストを入念に聞き込めば、眠たげに聞こえることもなくぴりっとした低音の魅力が保てるはずだ。いや、それ以上の輝きが期待できるだろう。（Michael Ross, Amazon.com）

彼女のハスキーで落ち着きのある歌声は、仕事で疲れた一日を癒してくれます。ひとたび曲が流れはじめると、部屋中にゆったりとした空気が流れ、外の喧騒を忘れ心を和やかにしてくれます。なんとなくグラスを片手に一杯飲みたい雰囲気にさせる1枚です。ハイブリッドCDなので、SACDのほうを買ったほうが絶対お得。オーディオの視聴ディスクとしてもお勧めです！

少し疲れていたりするときに、身も心もこのＣＤに委ねてみると、気持ちがうんと楽になるので、この音楽で心身を保養してリフレッシュしたらまた頑張ろうという気にされてくれます。なんといっても彼女の落ち着いたきれいな歌声と心にすんなり入ってくるメロディーに救われる思いです。

ホリーコールのようなスモーキーな歌声。それでいて華のある歌いまわし。
久々にウェルメイドなJazzを聴いた気がします。
特に1.Don't know Why/2.Seven Yearsなどは落ち着いて聴ける名曲です。
春の宵にお酒を飲みながら、花をみながら　どうぞ。
