曲は、80年代のLAインストの流れですが、当時の日本では斬新なサウンドプロデュースではなかったでしょうか？フェアライトやオケノ打ち込みは流石に時代を感じますが、特筆すべきはギターサウンド、全曲ライン録りなんですねぇ。その為、全曲に深ーいリバーブがかけられた個性的なサウンドが曲を左右してます。かなり計算されたアルバムです。最近は世界遺産のサウンドプロデュースに力を入れて、このアルバムの様なギターが聴けないのが個人的に残念です。ギターエリート！！

5.0 out of 5 stars 80年代の鳥山を代表するサウンド, 2002/5/4
　85年に第4作目として発売された鳥山の4thアルバム。当時鳥山が指向し始めていたデジタルサウンドが懐かしく感じられます。Track4「City Scream」はナショナル(!)のマックロードというビデオデッキのCMに使われていました。まだ若かったジャネットジャクソンが登場しており、思い出す方もいらっしゃるのではないでしょうか。

　私の鳥山を知ったのはこのアルバムが最初でしたので思い入れがあります。中でもお薦めはTrack3の「Island Rain」。15年経過した現在でも色あせる事がなく、現在の鳥山サウンドの原形が見出される気がします。これからの雨の季節にぜひ一度お聞き下さい。

おそらくフェアライト＝鍵盤＝を導入しているはず。パットメセニーのまねっこしております。リズムが打ち込みでいけませんね。まったくスィングしておりません。ギターはラリーカールトン、ジェイグレイドン、バジーフェイトンからの影響が濃厚であります。イフェクターを多用した分厚い例のあれです。個性はないと思われます。フュージョンとは呼べないと思われます。これはあくまで＝ポップス。現在で言うスムーズジャズでもないなんとも中途半端なものになりました。
１０点中５点　個性のないギタリストは日本に多いすね。
