ＰＳ２には敵いませんが、それでもファンはいるはず。
安い今のうちのゲットしておくのが吉でしょうか？
でもＸ-ＢＯＸ２とか出たらどうしよう…。

ハードディスクの容量が無駄に多いので
メモリーカードはいらないです。
音楽CDを相当な枚数でも録音できます。

XboxのDVD再生機能は良い方だと思います。
・DVDソフトを入れてから再生が始まるまでの時間が
　プレステ２よりも圧倒的に早い。
・10倍までの画面のズームアップができる。
・2倍~32倍速の早送り、巻き戻しが可能。
・1/2~1/8のスロー再生が可能。
・A-B間リピート再生機能搭載。
・5.1chサラウンド&光出力対応。（別売りのAVパックが必要です）

ハード的にはどう考えても他のゲーム機より上だと思う。コントローラ操作については、トリガーが押し易いけど（PS持ってる人はもうちょっと上に付いてる方が押し易いと思うかもしれないけど、慣れればストロークがデカイ分XBOXの方が押し易い。）、白黒ボタンは使う頻度高い割には位置が微妙で押し難い。
で、ソフトについてなんだけど、RPGが殆ど無い。今までXBOXが日本人に受け入れられ難かった要因の一つではないだろうかと思うほどRPGが少ない。もともとソフトの総数が少ないのもあるんだけど・・。
じゃあ何故、星４なのかと言うとアクションゲームには最適の機種と言えるから。リロードが早いのでやり直しがストレス無くできます。だからやり込んでしまうアクションゲームとの相性がばっちりです。オンライン対戦とかも楽しいらしーし。（やったこと無いけど。）
残念なのは、折角CDからお気に入りの曲をHDに入れてもゲーム中に流せる様に対応しているソフトが少ない事です。XBOXのセールスポイントになると思うのに・・なってるのか？・・・。
斬新なソフトがあるのもこの機種の方が多いのでは。
あと、モラル値が低いゲームが多いのもこの機種が多い気がする。良くも悪くも。よりリアルになったゲームの宿命？。
自由度が高いゲームが多いと言う意味にもとれるけどね。

買う時の注意点は、このゲーム機に限っては下手に中古を買うより新品を買った方が賢明だと思う。古い型だとDVDに傷問題とか、電源ケーブル問題とか、ドライブにハズレメーカーがあるとか・・・。
