鬼束ちひろという人をまだ知らなくて、たまたま「infection」を聴いたんですが、何かこころに訴えるものがあってアルバムを買いました。
そしたら驚きました。
全曲とても良い曲でした。
曲の終わりにもう一度聴きたいと思って、リピート再生しようとすると次の曲のイントロに引き込まれて、これも良い曲だなと思いました。

アルバムで全曲良い曲だなと思ったのは初めてです。

このThis Armorは、鬼さんの曲の中で個人的に一番好きな一枚です。
何度聴いても褪せないですね。
鬼さんの持つ「激しさ」と「優しさ」。
そのちょうど真ん中、という感じでしょうか。
激しい詩と優しいメロディ、その絶妙なバランスがとても好きなのです。

内容ですが、まず1.「ROLLIN'」がとても良いです。
疾走感のあるメロディと伸びやかな詩。
何かから解き放たれるような、開放感のある曲です。
2.「茨の海」も好きですね。
追い詰められるような曲調でいて、最後の部分で一気に花開くような。。
それ自体にしっかりとしたストーリーを感じれる一曲です。
書き切れないのが残念ですが、他の曲も大変良いものです。

アルバム自体の出来と、個人的な好みを含めまして☆5つとさせて頂きます。
鬼さん入門の一枚としてもオススメですよ。

鎧を剥ぎ取る彼女の気高き精神が感じられる傑作である、シンガーソングライターの真価と進化とは、前作を凌ぐ才能の昇華である、その意味では彼女、鬼束ちひろが見事に才能を昇華させたアルバムである、本物の音楽とはこのような作品とアーティストの事を如実に示した名盤である
