デビュー・シングルと先行シングルを含む、畠山美由紀の初ソロ・アルバム。リトル・クリーチャーズの鈴木正人をサウンド・プロデューサーに起用、日本語詞によるミディアムを中心に選曲した。


内容 (「CDジャーナル・レビュー」より)

ポート・オブ・ノーツ、およびDouble Famousのヴォーカリストとして活動し、ソウル・ボッサ・トリオの作品やライヴにも参加してきた畠山のソロ・シンガー/アーティストとしてのファースト・アルバムがいよいよ発表される。リトル・クリーチャーズの鈴木正人がプロデュースを担当し、フォーク、ロック、ネオアコ、ジャズといった、さまざまな音楽要素を含む、控えめで、洗練された、趣味のいい音作りになっている。そして、畠山の落ち着いたトーンからファルセットまで自在に操りながらも、穏やかな語り口のヴォーカルが、確かな存在感をもって浮かび上がる。その歌声は、ジャンルやスタイルを超えて、聴く者の郷愁を呼びさますような印象だ。おそらく、その理由は、自身が作詞を手がけ、過ぎゆくものへの想いをつづる畠山の歌の世界、そして、歌声そのものに、母性の情と、包容力と、強さが宿るからではないかと感じられる。 (渡辺淳) --- 2002年04月号

伸びやかなボーカル、楽曲の良さ。
買って損はない一枚です。

恋をしてやさしくなれたり、くすぐったい幸せを感じたり。
戻れない過去や、己の愚かさに眠れなくなる夜。

どんなシーンにも合う楽曲が必ず見つかります。

上手い！！　英語詩も日本語詩も、彼女の歌唱力に感動感激脱帽！
よくあんなに息が続くよな・・・・。
どの楽曲も素晴らしい。全体的にはメランコリックで、美しい感じだとわたしは思う。質の高い大人のアルバム。ふふふ。
わたし的には、１０星くらいつけたいです。
こんな素晴らしい歌手がいるのですよ、みなさん！！

美由紀さんの歌は、ＣＤでもいいのですが、ライブもいいですよ。一度福岡で聴いたのですが、そのときは数曲だけだったのでちょっと残念でしたが、今度はソロでまた福岡に来られるとのこと、楽しみにしています。実力がある歌手が少なくなってきているこのごろですが、美由紀さんは生で聴いてもＣＤそのままという感じで、正統派のシンガーとして、今後が期待できると思っています。
