クオリティー面で低迷期に入ってしまう前の傑作４thアルバムです。

前作で幅広いファン層を拡大した感があり、発表を期待されていた本作は、当時いまいち評価されなかった記憶がありますが、これは前作以上の傑作です。
　
前作は「凄い曲」と「そうでない曲」が明らかでしたが、今作は各曲とも充実しており、前作の成功がジェフをやる気にさせたことが判るような内容です。
　
前作の１曲目と６曲目をまねた1ザ・ボックスと5（元々は６曲目だった）トゥエンティー・ワンがいまいちですが、傑作の6~7を中心に、バラエティーにとんだ傑作のオンパレードです。

ギター（リフ＆リズム＆ソロ）がもたらす生理的快感はこのバンド（＝ジェフ）にしか出来ないもので、このギターが好きになると、新作が出る度に買ってしまいます。

最近復調してきましたが、まずは前作の３rd「SET THE WORLD ON FIRE」と今作、そしてスラッシュの色濃い２nd「NEVER,NEVER LAND」が良いかと思います。

14のオンリー・ビー・ロンリーは以前の曲順のほうが良かったです。

時代を先取りし過ぎたかもしれないですね。このアルバムは。総合的なすごさですから、このアルバムの魅力は。スラッシュ＆ハードコアの要素をブレンドしたこの音は。現在の状況であれば、はまれるサウンドだ。いま、あなたに聴いて頂きたい。すごいです。ハード＆ヘヴィ-の傑作なり。
