主人公が二人いるため、それぞれのストーリーが楽しめる。二人目でのプレイは先のプレイで見知った場所ゆえ、さくさく進める。合体で出来る悪魔、出現する悪魔も、双方で違っている。さほど、最終盤のストーリー分岐に目新しさはないが、データーをセーブしていれば全部見る事が簡単に出きるのは、子供向けに親切である。

真・女神転生シリーズの亜流。亜流と書いたのは、悪魔との会話と戦闘があまりにも味気ないから。会話はフキだしだけで済んじゃうし、戦闘も２対２か３で終わってしまう。
この作品は『仲魔』集めに重点が置かれており、特殊な仲魔が様々な手段で仲魔になる。その数実に２７５体。コレクターなら全部揃えたいところだ。また、『黒の書』と『赤の書』は合体システムが異なる。『黒の書』は従来通り、『赤の書』は今までとは一線を画すもの。
ただこの作品の仲魔は、『悪魔』ではなく『デビル』というデフォルメされた存在。真・女神転生シリーズの本家と比べるとヌルい印象はどうしても拭えない。なんだかお子さま向けという感じがする。そう、お子さま向けって感じだ。
そんなロールプレイング。大人でもコレクターなら楽しめるかな。
あと、某マンガからとある二人が特別出演しており、ファンは見てみるべきだろう。

　ハナシも淡々と進み、大人の方々には物足りないであろう一品。当時小学生だったわたしには充分おもしろく、わくわくしたゲーム。
