今年芸能生活５０周年を迎えた美輪明宏。その彼（彼女？）の音楽の全てがここに詰まっています。

６枚組のＣＤの構成は、１・２枚目は「ヨイトマケの唄」等のオリジナル、３・４枚目は「愛の讃歌」等シャンソンを中心としたヨーロッパの名曲、５・６枚目には「宵待草」等メロディーのきれいな日本の歌謡曲・童謡、となっており、合わせて全１０３曲収録されています。

疲れている時にこの人の曲を聴くと、なぜか癒され、元気が沸いてくるように感じるのは、私だけではないと思います。
美輪明宏という名前は知っていても、曲を良く知らない方には、是非この機会に全集を買って聴かれる事をオススメします。今の時代に欠けている何かを、きっと見つけられると思います。

シャンソンの本場フランス・パリでは、美輪明宏の評価がとても高い。
なぜならば現在のフランスではシャンソンは古典でシャンソン歌手が不在になっているからである。
シャンソンは戦時下のフランスで歌われた愛の曲なんです。
戦争に翻弄される恋人同士の切ない愛の物語。
その情熱を美輪明宏は涙をこらえて歌うのです。
愛の賛歌は涙ものです。
