妖怪ヘビーメタルバンドの第2作目。
前作「鬼哭転生」よりアルバムとしての流れというかまとまりがアップした作品。
もちろんツインボーカルで激しい曲もバラードもこなし、女性ボーカル・黒猫嬢の歌声もより伸びやかになった感じ。
ジャケットに使用されている妖怪画はギターの招鬼氏が手がけたもので、音楽以外の多彩さを思わせる。

すごい作品です｡ハードな曲もすごくいいですが､VOCALの黒猫さんはバラードも唄いこなしていていいまとまりあるものに仕上がっています｡

久々に歌詞を含めて吟味できるCDと出合ったという感じだ。七色の歌声を持つVoの黒猫チャンの歌のうまさ、「え？声優志望だったの」と思わせる曲間の台詞。和風の音階を取り入れたへヴィ・メタルだが、人間椅子と共通点もある。でも、今聖飢魔II無きあとジャパメタのリーダーは陰陽座に決定じゃあないだろうか？洋楽至上主義の方にも是非聞いて貰いたい。世界に堂々と「これが日本のへヴィ・メタルです」と推薦出切る出来だ。JUDAS PRIST や　IRON MAIDENからの影響がリフワークにちらほら出てきているのでそれらがOKならこれもぜひ聞いて貰いたいものだ。
