このシングルに触れただけでも、2002年3月に発表されるアルバムへの期待が否応なく高まる。ヴォーカルの荒ぶる感情がピアノへと伝達されることでいつの間にかストリングスを伴ったバラードへと発展する表題曲は、歌詞の孤独を恐れる描写があまりにも見事なぶん、単なる高揚では終わらないおどろおどろしい後味を残す。アコースティックの柔らかい響きとエレクトリックの幻想的な響きというギターのケミストリーが穏やかさとこのうえない寂寥感を醸し出すカップリング曲も、怖れおののかざるを得ない力を感じてやまない。 (安部薫) --- 2002年02月号
