確かにここにある。でもうまく言えない、そんな想い。あるいは、街並みからちょっとはずれた小径をテクテク歩くときの淡い高揚感。忙しく単調な毎日に戻ればすぐに隠れてしまう、そんなささやかな感傷を、飾らずにゆっくりと音に織り込んでいった作品だ。女性だけのサルサ・バンド、チカブーンを脱退後、大江千里や松山千春のツアーに参加しながら、名曲「強く儚い者たち」「樹海の糸」をCoccoに提供してきた彼女のセカンド・ミニ・アルバム。都内を中心にピアノの弾き語りライヴを展開中ということで、この作品もピアノと歌を丁寧に聴かせるシンプルな楽曲がとりわけ印象的である。Coccoへの提供曲を彷彿とさせる強く優しいメロディの(5)も素晴らしいが、今は店をたたんでしまった沖縄料理屋のオネエサンへ宛てた久方ぶりの絵はがきといった趣の(4)の朴訥とした響きがなんともいい。俺は大切な人たちに果たして、こんなにも凛と透き通った横顔を見せているのだろうかと、ふと考え込んでしまった。 (平野敬三) --- 2002年03月号

Coccoの『樹海の糸』などを作曲した柴草さんの２nd(3rd?)ミニアルバムです。
最初は「ん~~？」という感じかもしれませんが、ピアノの旋律がやさしくて、聴くほどのはまります。
表題でもあり前作『あじさい』の続きとも取れる『レクイエム』もさることながら、やっぱり私のお勧めは『オキナワソバヤのネエサンへ』ですｖ
