   スピードとトリックを競い合うスノーボードゲーム。前作にあたる『エクストリームレーシングSSX』に比べ、グラフィックとゲーム性が数段進歩している。なにより、コースレイアウトのグラフィックがクオリティーアップしたおかげで、強烈なスピード感や浮遊感を存分に味わうことができる。

   トリックは、格闘ゲームのようなコマンド入力によって出す仕様。難しいトリックほど複雑なコマンド入力が必要になるが、高い得点、および高い快感が得られるようになっている。より速くゴールを目指す「レース」モードやトリックを競う「SHOW OFF」モードがあり、コースをクリアしていくと新たなコースが追加される。さらに自分のキャラクターを成長させていくことも可能。ボードもキャラの成長にあわせて買い換えていこう。（岡田幸司）

友人の勧めで前作「ＳＳＸエクストリームレーシング」にはまってからずいぶん経ちますが、まさか続編が出るとは思ってませんでした。結構人気があったみたいですね。前作を面白いと思った人は絶対買いです。インターフェイスが新しく、きれいになってコースも充実。キャラも増えてます。赤いマークで「トリッキー」を決めると気持ちいいですよ！五輪系と思って買ったら後悔するぞ。

「爽快感」を得たければこのゲームというほど面白い！

スピード＋トリック＋駆け引き（つまり邪魔）。とやる人によって個性が出せる面白いゲームです。破天荒な設定も現実味がなくてよいです。これだけ面白さを追求してバランスの良いゲームも珍しいかな・・・、っと素直に思います。

SSXは前作から遊んでいますが、今回もあの何ともいえないスピード感＆浮遊感を味わえます。DVD特典による開発者のインタビューがあり、また違った角度でSSXトリッキーを楽しめました(日本語字幕があればもっとよかったですが)。

ゲームの個人的評価は星５つですが、
隠れた名作となっている点が実に惜しい！

音楽も良くヘッドホンでガンガン聞きながらノリノリでやるのがお勧め。
とにかくのれます。洋ゲーの王道を走ってる。
