ソロ名義としてはデビュー以来5年ぶりに発表した75年の作品。とはいっても、リック、ダン、チャックに加え兄ジョニーも参加し、ウインター・ファミリーは健在。ドラムのリック・マロッタも含め、息の合った演奏を展開している。もともとポップな感覚には定評のあるエドガーだが、ソロ・アルバムということもあってか、R&B、ゴスペル、ジャズなどの要素をいつも以上に取り入れ、自分の好きなことを思い切り楽しんでいる感じが伝わってくる。引き出しの多さと、才能の豊かさをあらためて示した傑作アルバムだ。 (茅場礼) --- 2002年03月号
