学校でいやなことが続く日々、なんだか人への信頼感が薄れてきて・・・
そんな暗くて憂鬱だった時、某番組でピアノ一本とこの曲を歌う平井さんをテレビで見ました。

平井さんの曲って、どうせ全部ハマっちゃうから後でアルバム一枚買うだけにしようって決めていたんですが（笑）、テレビ越しで見る彼の姿と歌声があまりにも暖かくて、淋しかったり、辛かったりした分がぶわっと溢れ出て、歌う彼の前で涙を流してしまいました。
自分の心を開いてくれて、癒やしてくれて、暖めてくれたこの曲・・・

次の日、急いでCDを買ってきて、ず~っと聴いていました。
最初ちょっと、BABY FACEさんに染まりすぎかも・・・って思っていましたが、ずっと聴いていたら、彼の声がぎゅっと染みこんで・・・もう、「いい」としか言えなくなってしまいました（笑）
カップリングも、英語で何言ってるかよく分からないけど・・・でも、英語でも、愛しさが伝わってきました。

優しくて、助けてくれて、癒やしてくれて・・・愛の溢れた一枚です。

BABY FACEのソフトなバラードを平井堅が歌っていて、聞き惚れる程いい曲です。BABY FACE と平井堅の感性は似ているのかも知れません。面白いのは、英語版は「振らないで、missing youになるから」という歌なのに、日本語版では「振ったあなたでも、いつまでの思い続けるよmissing you」と歌詞の方向性が全く違う所です。曲のトーンは優しい感じなのでどっちもOKでしょうが。とにかく買って損のないCDでしたよ。

初めは男性から見た失恋の歌だと思って聞いていました。詩の内容と重なるような状況が最近あったばかりなので、涙して聞きほれていました。でも、雑誌で堅ちゃんのインタビューを読んでいたら、今回の詩には去年の９月１１日に起きたアメリカ同時多発テロでの犠牲者への追悼もこめてつくられたとあり、恋愛だけではなく、家族や友達などの喪失もあるのだと知り、驚きと感動を覚えました。「楽園」以降、堅ちゃんのイメージの１つとしてあった、美しきセクシュアリティとともに、新たな平井堅誕生、という気がします。きっと、年を重ねて経験を積むほどに心に沁み入る名曲となるのではないでしょうか。堅ちゃん、最高！！
