   クリスマスにシカゴの我が家に置き去りにされた男の子ケヴィン（マコーレイ・カルキン）が、その留守宅に忍び込んできた泥棒一味を徹底的にこらしめ、世界的大ヒットとなったキッズ・コメディ『ホーム・アローン』の続編。
   今回ケヴィン君は、やはりクリスマスに家族でマイアミ休暇に繰り出したところ、空港で迷子になり、結局ひとりNYに到着。そこで前作の泥棒コンビと再会し、またまた壮絶（！？）バトルが繰り広げられていく。
   クリスマス・シーズンのNYの風景を魅力的にとらえ、ちょっとした観光気分にも浸れるのが特徴で、ジョン・ウィリアムスのクリスマス音楽もより一層深い広がりを感じさせる。またNYの町並でケヴィン君が出会う人々のハートフルな交流が描かれているのも好感がもてる。（的田也寸志）
