　この40 BelowSummerですが、スリップノットのショーンがエグゼクティヴプロデューサーって事で一時かなり話題になりましたね。プロデューサーはSpineshankやKittie等との仕事でも有名なGGGartHって事で結構期待してたんですが、なんてことは無い最近のありがちな音楽でちょっと残念でした。音楽の感じはダークでドンヨリとしたサウンドに所々綺麗なメロディーが垣間見えるという今流行の音なのでそういう音楽が好きな人なら聴いてみる価値はあるかもしれない。ただこのバンドはダークな感じとメロディーパートのバランスがあまり良く取れていなくて聴いててまとまりの無い感じがある。メロディーのいい所はハッキリと良く、激しい所は徹底的に激しくしてほしかったというのが自分の意見。ただ2456のような独特な世界観を持った曲はなかなかカッコいい。確かに何回も聴くと飽きてしまう音だが面白い音楽なので聴いてみる価値はあるかもしれない。Slipknot、 Mudvayne、 IllNino、辺りのバンドが好きであれば気に入るかもしれない。ただそれらのバンドのような撤退的な重さ激しさは無いのでそこを注意してもらいたい。

Slipknotのショーンがエグゼティブ・プロデューサーとして参加していることで話題になったバンド。メロディアスで妖しい旋律としっとりした歌声による部分とハード＆へヴィなサウンドとシャウトによる部分が混在した音がかっこいい。シャウトの仕方はSlipknotに似ているが、音自体はしっかりとした独自性を持っているのでお勧めできる。
