今回はデジパック使用でリマスター盤でのリリース！！１９８８年リリースのジャパニーズプログレッシブバンド・ヴィエナの記念すべきファーストアルバム！！非常に高度なテクニックを持ったミュージシャンの集合体バンドで、演奏・楽曲ともワールド級の内容です・・・ボーカルは弱いですが。ＵＫ・ジェネシス・ＥＬＰ等のエッセンスをうまく自分達に溶け込ませたサウンドを展開しています。メンバーは、藤村幸宏（Ｖｏ・Ｇ）・塚本周成（Ｋｅｙ）・永井敏巳（Ｂ）・西田竜一（Ｄｒ）・・・皆、最高のミュージシャン！！塚本の卓越したキーボードワークは、もう日本人の域を越えた素晴らしい腕前で凄いです。個人的には日本のパーシージョーンズ永井のベースが最高です！！邦楽プログレの中では、最高峰のＧＲＥＡＴなアルバム・・・持ってて損なし！！

日本のプログレバンド、ヴィエナの1st。

80年代後半になり低迷しはじめたJap'sプログレ界に現れたスーパーバンド。
藤村幸宏、塚本周成、西田竜一、永井敏己という豪華な顔ぶれは、まさに「日本版UK」か。
個人的には次作「STEP INTO...」のダイナミックな楽曲群の方が好みなのだが、あらためてこの1stを聴いてみると、キャッチーな歌メロの影には、よく練られた曲アレンジがあり、ひとつひとつのギターとキーボードのフレーズにしても、リズムアレンジにしても、なかなか隙がない。
彼らの残した2枚のアルバムは、完成度の点で日本プログレのひとつの頂点をなしている。
