百聞は一見に如かず、でなく一聴に如かずという表現が適当です。この翌年頃には世の中はバブル崩壊に至りますが、本当にこのアルバムは、当時のバブルを象徴するかのような贅沢な仕上がりです！。冒頭の「君に逢いたい午後」から「Stay with me」「悲しみは優しすぎて」「セブンティ カラーズ ガール」「Thank you for the music」「Memory Flickers」はおすすめです！。「セブンティ カラーズ ガール」は、J.Iの高音域の歌声が心地良く、「Thank you for the music」は彼の自作で、作曲のセンスも伺えます。今でも夏になると、必ず聴きたくなる一枚です！。

当時のこのアルバムはBOX仕様でJ.I.の分厚いライナーノーツがあった。お気に入りベスト３（例えば好きな女性、場所、e.t.c...）が詳細に書かれていた。未だに忘れられない。「セブンティー・カラーズ・ガール」を聴くと、バブリーであった１９８９年の感動が蘇ってくる。また、この前作の１９８８年『EDGE OF TIME』はまさしくJ.I.の全盛期であり、２００２年同時発売のデジタルリマスタリング盤の中で唯一、amazonマーケットプレイスでしか買えなくなってしまったのが如何に躍動期の名盤であったかの証明になりうる。
