■謎の殺人事件が次々と起こり、主人公シモンは容疑者として追われつつも真相を求めてセビリアの街を駆けます。おりしも街は聖週間の季節。キリストの復活を信じる祭をわざわざ選んで犯人はさらなる悪魔的所業に及びます。善と悪との死闘が繰り広げられるサスペンス映画です。

▼日本を震撼させたサリン・ガスの描き方が無邪気すぎます。娯楽映画の小道具にするなとは言いませんが、描くのならば正確を期すべきで、無色のはずのサリンを緑色にしたり、巨大な施設で生成するようなガスを犯人がいつのまにか入手できていることに、日本の観客はもっとシラケても良いと思います。地下鉄霞ヶ関駅の悲惨な映像を見た私たちは、ひとたびサリンが撒かれればその被害はこの映画の程度では済まないことを知っています。

▼地下鉄サリン事件を報じるスペイン語の記事二つにも問題があります。最初の記事は（字幕では省略されていますが）「死者30人以上」と書かれています。実際の死亡者数は十数人です。（被害者の数は5000人ともいわれています。）

　二つ目の記事は日本語字幕が一切出ませんが、「“超真理派”、世界中の首都でテロを繰り返すと警告」とあります。あの教団はサリン事件との関係を否定していましたからこんな警告を出すはずがありません。事実に反する記事なので日本語字幕を省いたのでしょうか。

▼原題でもある「Nadie conoce a nadie.」という言葉が最後に登場しますが、「結局　真実は誰も知らない」という字幕は意訳というには度を越しています。これは「他人のことなど誰にもわからない」という意味です。

　シモンは最後に事件の真実を知ることは出来るのです。その真実とは「他人のことを完全に知ることなど出来ない」ということだった、というのがこの映画の主題なのです。スペイン語の読めない人のためにも気を張って訳すべきだったでしょう。
