   前作「May and December」に続き、トータスのジョン・マッケンタイアをプロデューサーに迎えた6thアルバム。
 「緻密に計算されたマニアックなポップ・バンド」という印象の強い彼らだが、今作では、シンプルで熱気あふれるバンドサウンドが前面に押し出されている。その意味ではライヴにおける彼らの印象に近いかも知れない。もちろん、高度な音楽技術に裏打ちされた良質なメロディと、奥深いアレンジも健在だ。特にトータスのギタリスト、ジェフ・パーカーによるホーンアレンジは秀逸。（森 朋之）

前作に続きジョン・マッケンタイア(トータス、ザ・シー・アンド・ケイク)をプロデューサーに迎えた6枚目のフル・アルバム。ヴォーカル片寄のセンチメンタリズムが久しぶりに爆発した作品になった。旺盛な遊び心が嫌味に感じない、現在形のPOP。

前作以降、より繊細により本質的にメロウになったシカゴ2作目。
まずサウンドが素晴らしい、そしてメロディが美しい、詩が美しい。
1曲目rubyのイントロからラストのONOまでやるせなくて溜息出っぱなしです。特にruby、snow　bird、echo、caravan、そしてONO、ヤバイです、
これほどひんやりとしたメロウネスは他には見当たりません。

勿論ジョンの手腕なくしてはありえない質感なんだけど、ジョンにしてもトータスでは出来ないPOPなアレンジとかアイディアが入ってたりするのかな？と思うくらいメロディアスなアレンジが光ります。

POPでメロディアスなのにG3が売れないのは、その音楽の中心がハードコアだからです。しかしそれゆえハマると魔力的にズルズルその世界に引きずり込まれる事必死です。

さまざまな音楽をごちゃまぜ（いい意味で）にしてしまう彼らの、今までのキャリアをすべてミキサーに放りこんで、グルグルかき回した後でおいしいところだけを抽出したようなアルバム。今までのミクスチャー感は、時折ツギハギ感にも見えていたけど、今作はつぎめがまったくない。でも聴けば聴くほど深い音響を感じる仕上がり。特に６曲めが美しいイントロからはじまって、ふと気づくとレゲエのリズムになってるあたりには、ぼくはかなり参りましたにゃん。
