   1982年1月3日NHK教育テレビで放映された番組を、まったく手を加えずにDVD化した作品。当時、アルバム作りとライヴを中心に活動し、テレビには一切出演しなかった彼らの初ドキュメンタリーであり、ファンの間では「幻の番組」と呼ばれていた。
   内容はバンドとしての絶頂期ともいえるアルバム『OVER』の曲作りからレコーディング、アメリカでのミックスダウンという制作過程を軸に、番組の司会者「山際淳司」や音楽評論家「田川律」のインタビュー、武道館公演のライヴ映像を織り交ぜた構成となっている。
 「オフコース」＝「小田和正」というイメージが強いが、レコーディング作業をとおしてメンバーのバンド、音楽への関わり方、役割、人間関係などが垣間見られ興味深い。小田和正によるオフコースのセルフカヴァーアルバムやDVD作品のDigital dictionaryなどと併せて、彼らを再評価する意味で貴重な作品といえるだろう。（末延仁人）

　あれは確か僕が中１くらいのこと（２０年以上前）、いとこの家で見たこの番組でオフコースにハマりました。内容は主に"over"というアルバムのレコーディング風景。当時すでに”さよなら”などビッグヒットを出していた彼らがテレビに登場したのは初めてだったらしい。”愛の中へ”のレコーディング風景での小田さんとヤスさんのコーラスに魅了されました。また、後に脱退するヤスさんがメンバーと若干距離を置いている場面などもうかがえる。とにかくビデオがまだあまり普及していない頃、当然うちにもいとこの家にもなく。再放送を見たきりあとは記憶の奥底にあった映像がまた見れたのがうれしい。多くのバンドが再結成している中、オフコースの再結成はないのだろういか・・・

これは何度もＮＨＫで再放送されたが、実は１９８２年１月３日放送されたものはこのＤＶＤに収録されている映像のあと、評論家みたいな人が当時の若人について座談会を行い、この番組の最後に”心はなれて”の収録カットがあったんです。これがあると完璧だったと思います。このカット見逃した方が多かったのでは。それがなかったので残念です。

正直言って、これがＤＶＤになるとは思わなかった。
ＮＨＫさんがテープを持っていてほんとにうれしい。
当時自分は、音だけをカセットテープに落として今も持っているのだが、
やはり映像がつくと違いますね。
何より、放映された「まま」の状態で収められているというのが、
大変素晴しいと思います。

何も手を加えられていず、その時の、放映されたまま！！
その点が、何よりも評価していい、評価すべき点ではないでしょうか？！
いま、見返すにつけ、自分はこのＤＶＤに収められている彼らの年齢を遥かに超してしまったんだなと、少し寂しくもなったりしますが（笑）。
