何年間かミスチルのファンをやってますが、この曲は抱きしめたい以来のラブソングバラードだと思います。
「君が好き　僕が生きる上でこれ以上の意味はなくたっていい」そんな気持ちを、ストレートに曲で表現できるのも桜井さんだからこそ！歌詞・曲の両方でマッタリ感を満喫できる一品。
プレゼントにしてみるのもいいかもしれませんよ。

相手の心にはこちらがどれだけ想っても決して入ることができない領域があること。相手を傷つけたり騙したり妬んだりして、その結果自分自身が汚れていってしまうこと。

こうした残酷な現実の中でそれでもやっぱり好きだという気持ちをすごく綺麗なメロディで表してくれている、そういう曲だと思いました。

名曲ですよ。

カップリング曲の「さよなら2001年」を聴き、桜井氏の更なる音楽性の深まりを感じた。カップリング曲はアルバムに収められることはまちまちなのだが、ミスチルファンにはこのカップリングに惹かれる人が多い。「優しい歌」「Youthful Days」以降、活発な音楽活動に入ったようだが、今後の活躍が期待できる一曲。まだまだあなどれない。
