このアルバムを聴くと発売された当時、赴任地で聞いていたひと夏を思い出します。暑くなった車内、ハンドル。そんな中、車のエンジンをかけて流していたＣＤがこのアルバムでした。本田雅人氏がいた（私の思う）スクエアの黄金期の一作です。アグレッシブで躍動感のあるメロディライン、粒ぞろいのナンバー。夏のドライブはこのアルバムで決まりです。

94年発表のアルバムです。いつも「脚線美の誘惑」「うち水にRainbow」といった素敵なアルバムタイトル、ジャケットを提供してくれるスクエアですが、このアルバムのタイトル、ジャケットもそれらに劣らない素敵なものになっています。サウンドもいつものスクエアらしく、アップテンポのものから、最後は和泉さんの美しいバラードまでバラエティに飛んでいるのですが、爽やかな印象を与える曲が多く感じるのには、タイトル、ジャケットも貢献しているのではないでしょうか。また、サウンド面ではとりわけ本田さんのＳＡＸが爽快感に貢献していると思います。夏になると、聴きたくなるアルバムの１枚です。

タイトルどうりの夏のイメージ満載作品です。朝起きて、太陽の光が降り注ぐ浜辺を歩いて、目いっぱい遊んで、夕暮れになって、夜になって・・・・
と、いうようなイメージで構成されています。
特に、夏の蜃気楼は、本田さんのスタイル全開というような名曲です。
かなり、完成度の高いアルバムだと思います。

Ｔ-ＳＱＵＡＲＥはベストアルバムに入っていない、オリジナルアルバムのみに収められている曲の中にも名曲が数え切れないほどあるのでぜひ聞いてみてください。
最近ではＤＳＤマスタリング等で再販しているのでそちらのほうを聞いてみたらよいかと思います。
