いよいよ本領を発揮したなという感じのサード・アルバム。曲のフックを歌だけが担うのではなく、リフのインパクトやスリリングな楽器パートのからみなど、ハッと耳を奪われるポイントがちりばめられている。バンドでなければできないサウンド満載。

いかにシングルにおけるポップ指向が強まろうと、彼らがアルバム作りに注ぎ込むプログレッシヴで熱のこもったハード・ロック感覚はまったく変わっていない。約1年ぶりに登場するこの3作目のフル・アルバムは、滑らかに駆け抜けていくリズムと複雑な楽曲展開をyasuの力強い歌で結び合わせた非常にテンポのよいアルバム。しかし、彼らのこれまでの作品中でも最もソフトでキャッチーな肌触りに反し、整然としたアレンジの中で躍る各パートのプレイには巧みな小技が活きている。初期の重々しいアプローチとは異なる柔軟なポップ感覚が印象的だった前作『ジ・ハード』の路線をさらに推し進め、軽やかなサウンドで広大なスケール感を描き出すアレンジ術がすっかり消化吸収されたかのよう。相変わらずかなりアクロバティックなメロディ展開を聴かせるが、yasuの人懐こい声の特長をじっくり聴かせる場面も増えている。肩の力が抜けて個性がより鮮明に見えてきた。ネの明るさが伝わってくる作品だ。 (平野和祥) --- 2002年02月号

ジャンヌのメジャーデビュー後３枚目のアルバムです。そして私が初めて聴いたジャンヌのアルバムです。なので色々と思い出深いアルバム。
#1の「GAIA」はどこか壮大な感じが心地よいオープニングナンバーで、続く「セル」ではジャンヌの中でも最速レベルのギターソロが堪能できます。#3の「sister」は歌詞はちょいとアレですが（笑）メロディが秀逸なので是非１度は聴いて欲しい曲。

まあ挙げればキリが無いほど良いトコだらけのアルバムなんですがとりあえずハードロック好きを自称する人は「GUILTY PAIN」を聴いてみて下さい。音の重さに圧倒されますよ。

このアルバムのなかで良い曲は plasticです! この曲を聞くと元気になります。オススメです!
stillも悲しくなる曲です。 全体的に良い曲ばかりなので、買って損はありません!

ジャンヌダルクを初めて知ったのはこのアルバムでした。ジャケットにひかれてついつい購入してしまったのですが、いいのはジャケットだけではなかったです。
ノリのいい曲もあればゆったりめの曲もあってジャンヌダルクが好きになりました。
シルビア最高です！
