このシリーズは、主人公たちの｢戦う理由｣を明確にしているところが好きです。
その理由が分からなくなって悩んだりするところにキャラの魅力を感じるのですが、
２ではキャラが自問自答したりするシーンでの表現(単語)がかなり難しいので、
小中学生にはややハードルが高いと思います。
ゲーム面についてですが、このゲームは仲間が序盤は３人、中盤で２人加わり、終盤で１人加わって計６人になります。
この後から加わる３人のキャラは、技を覚えさせるのが非常に面倒なので
彼らをまったく育てなかったんですが、最後で泣かされました。
まさか６人のパーティーを４つに分けるとは…
ストーリーは、前半はともかく、後半は意味がよく分かりません。
敵の正体もその戦いも私の中では漠然としたままです。
ただ、最後の戦いの演出は非常に良かったと思います。

人気ＲＰＧ、ワイルドアームズシリーズの第２作です。
全て３Ｄ化されました。

このゲームの第一印象は、とにかくエンカウントによる戦闘が少なく、ムダな戦闘が無いという事です。ダンジョンの謎解きがこのシリーズの特徴となっていますが、それをじっくり動き回って考える際に、とても助かりました。
前作では、特殊な魔法などを使わない限り、すぐにエンカウントしてしまい、イライラしてしまう事もたまにありました。
それが改善されている点は良かったのですが、戦闘に入ると多少ロード時間がかかってしまいます。
ＰＳ２のロード時間を高速にすればなんとかストレスを軽減できるので、ＰＳ２をお持ちの方は、試してみてはいかがでしょうか？

メモリーカードからデータをロードするたびに流れるオープニングアニメと、データをセーブし、中断するたびに流れる中断ムービーの音楽もかなり良く、
なるけみちこさんの曲を、麻生かほ里さんが感情を込めて歌ってくれています。

ゲーム中には感動的なシーンがいくつもあり、ゲームの電源を切った後も、深く自分の心の中に残り、いろいろと考えさせてくれます。

僕は本当に「英雄」なのだろうか……
そのキャッチコピーへの答え方も、プレイ前とプレイ後では、全く違ったものになっているでしょう。
