中学時代、ショムニのオープニングテーマ『それじゃあバイバイ』を聴いたことをきっかけにSURFACEの魅力に取り付かれ、何度も聴いていたのですが、オトナになった今改めて聴いてみると、当時、SURFACEに抱いた印象とは全く異なるものでした。
ユーモアたっぷりの歌詞と勢いのある曲調から、当時は『盛り上げソング』として聴いていましたが、今聴くと、歌詞の内容に共感できるようになり、「椎名さんは結構痛いことを言っていたんだな〜…」と初めて気づきました。
そういう印象の変化を楽しみながら、一生付き合っていけそうな気がしました。

１０年後はどのように聴こえるのか、今から楽しみな作品です。

ベスト盤なので、『それじゃあバイバイ』のほかにも、『さぁ』『なにしてんの』『ゴーイング my 上へ』『その先にあるもの』というドラマやアニメの主題歌になった曲ももちろん入っています。
「SURFACEの曲って、知らないな〜」と思っている人も、案外知っている曲が多いんじゃないかと思います。
少年から青年へ、青年から熟年へ成長をしようとしている人には、是非聴いてほしいです。

確かに「BZ」と比較されてしまうコンビだが、歌詞のすばらしさは勝るとも劣らない非常に洗練されたもの。尚且つ、誰にでも沸き起こる自然な恋愛感情は分かりやすく見事に表現している。それでいてドラマチックな楽曲・・・稀に見る才能を感じてしまうのは果して僕だけだろうか？並みの感性ではとても作れない。（特にバイオリンをさりげなく起用している所など）思わずハマッてしまった・・・。そして身近に感じてしまうこの曲群達・・・。このアルバムはこの先もずっとファンを魅了し続けていくことに違いない・・・。

このCDはSURFACEのﾋｯﾄ曲が約7割が入っています。

「それじゃあバイバイ」、「さぁ」、「ゴーイングｍｙ上へ」、「なあなあ」、「空っぽの気持ち」、「なにしてんの」、「ジレンマ」、etc...

「それじゃあバイバイ」、「ゴーイングｍｙ上へ」はドラマの《ショムニ》の主題歌なんですよ！他にも、「さぁ」はアニメ、《まもって守護月天》のOPなのです。SURFACEを知らない方も、買って損しない一品です。ノリノリの曲や、しっとりとしたバラードなど、どれもいい曲なので、すぐに気に入ること間違いなしです！
