このライブ映像はThe Beach Boysが絶好調で、頂点を極めつつある時期のテレビライブ！Brian Wilsonの溢れんばかりの才能を感じて欲しい！否、Brian Wilsonだけでは無い。Al、Mike、Dennis、Carlの若さ漲るパフォーマンスも見逃せない。

60年代と言う時代のひとコマを垣間見る事が出来る。タイムスリップして「Surfin' USA」「Fun,Fun,Fun」を一緒に歌おう。世紀を超えてもなおこのグループがなぜ支持され続けるのか、その答えが貴方の中で見つかるだろう。「Pet Sounds」云々を抜きに、彼らの魅力の原点が詰まっている。

ブライアンが精神分裂をおこしてツアーから遠ざかる直前の、貴重な時期のライブ映像。収録時間が少ないが歴史的な価値は非常に高い。

ライブでサポートメンバーを大勢連れていたり、スタジオ製作時にバンド自らで演奏する局面が少ないことなどをもって彼らの演奏能力を云々する事もあるが、少なくともこの時期の彼らは、演奏も非常にタイトでかつロックならではのワイルドさもあわせ持ったもので、その上にピッチの正確な美しいコーラスをつけている。文句なしに、「上手い」ですよ、ミュージシャン、シンガーとして。

特に、デニス・ウィルソンのドラムに注目。もとからビート感はあった人だが、ここまでテクニック的に上手かったのか、と改めて感激した次第。

６０年代当時に出演した映画の予告編な??の特典映像もあり、お買い得だ。
