元IN　FLAMESのギタリスト、グレン・ユングストロムと、現在もIN　FLAMESで活躍中のイェスパー・ストロムブラード（Gr）が、伝説的ブラック・メタルバンドのMARDUKの元フロントマン、ヨッケ・ゴスベルグ（Vo）、デスメタルバンドLUCIFERIONのドラマー、ハンス・ニルソンと組んだメロディック・デスラッシャー待望の１ｓｔフル。

９８年にミニ・アルバム「PENETRATIONS　FROM　THE　LOST　WORLD」を発表し、その見事な完成度に多くの？ファンが発売を待ちに待って、ようやく０１年に発売された今作は、そのファンの期待を裏切らないグレートな内容。

IN　FLAMESのブルータル・サイドを徹底的に突き詰めたかの音楽性は、全１０曲、トータル約３４分と、切れ味抜群の仕上がりとなっている。
ミニ・アルバムで収録されていた煽情的なギター・ソロ（ゲスト・ミュージシャンが弾いていたもの）はカットされ、あくまで曲の暴力的な流れに重きを置いているのも潔い。（人によっては残念がる声も聞くが･･･。）
オープニングのタイトル・トラック＃１“Silent　Night　Fever”からしてもうノックアウト必至の名曲。その後も息をつかせぬ怒涛のアグレッシブ・ナンバーが続く。＃５“Not　Even　Dead”などでは、クリーンなメロディ等も聴かれるが、その獣性の高さに惚れ惚れすることしきり。
全てに噛み付かんばかりのヨッケの野獣ヴォーカルに、切れの良いハンスの爆裂ドラムスがまた緊張感を大きくプラスしている。

いやー、ほんっとに待ったかいがありやした！（＾＾
デスラッシュの名盤と呼んでも差し支えのない作品！

デスメタルとは一般的に敬遠されたりしがちですがこのアルバムは
非常にききやすくてかっこいいです。
デスであるけどスラッシュでメロディアスなこのアルバム。
メタルが好きだけどデスはこわいなあ、という人でも聞いてみれば

良さが分かります。難点は約35分とちょっと短めなところくらいです。

ヴォーカルはなかなかな変態っぽいね！インフレイムスのやつが作ったバンドらしいから、そんな感じやな
