   この世に未練を残している霊魂を成仏させるために、彼らの悩みを解決する3Dリアルタイムアドベンチャー『エコーナイト』の第2作目。

   前作は、沈没した豪華客船が舞台であったが、今回は森の奥にひっそりとたたずむ洋館である。主人公のリチャード・オズモンドは恋人のクリスティーナ・コリンズが行方不明になって3ヵ月が過ぎたある日、自ら探索にでかける。そして主人公は彼女の手がかりを求め深い森に囲まれた洋館への向かっていく。

   前作よりいっそう美しい仮想空間が描かれた本作品は、洋館の中だけではなく、湖や塔など森に囲まれた広い敷地内を探索する。どこからか聞こえてくる少女の笑い声や、薄暗い部屋の中に霊は突如現れ、主人公を攻撃してくる。より臨場感と恐怖を増しているため、それなりの覚悟で遊んでほしい。（樋口浩二）

前作よりグラフィックがより綺麗に、精密に作りこまれている。謎解きの多さや神秘的で、妖艶なストーリーは相変わらずで、難解と言われているけど、普通にクリアするのはそれほど難しくない。前作との関連はあまり無いので、初めての人でもプレイ出来る。グラフィックなんかは前作より見やすいので、むしろこの作品からはじめた方が良いかもしれない。

失踪した恋人を探してたどり着いたのは静かな湖畔の館。
そこに住むのはそれぞれの想いを残した悲しい魂たち。
彼らの遂げられなかった想いを叶えてやり、昇天に導きながら
恋人失踪の謎の真相に迫っていく。
一作目よりも美しい、好きな世界です。
エコーナイトシリーズで初めてプレイしたのがこれでしたが、

始めはさっぱり進まず、もどかしい思いをしました。
でも謎解きができたときの喜びは最高！ストーリーもしっかりしています。
システムは前作と変わらず、多少改善された所があるぐらい。
ストーリーにつながりはありません。
多少難解なとこもありですが、謎にはすじがちゃんと通っています。
こんな気に入ったゲームはないです。
もう絶対売らない！！

自分がへたれ、という前提で書きます。美麗なＣＧで、闇の濃さ、不気味さといった雰囲気がよく出ています。悲劇に呑まれて死なねばならなかった人々の想いが物語の全体に漂っていて、怖いというより、悲しい、です。実によく出来ていると思います。ただ、何度か命の危機を迎えるのですが、「このアイテム使えばなんとかなりそうじゃん？」と思うことがたびたび…正解は一つしかないんですね、すみません。それと追いかけられているプレーヤーの速度が変わらないのが気になりました。実際は走ってるんですかね（すごく肝っ玉とか？ひとりで真夜中に武装なしで乗り込むあたり）。いろいろ書いてしまいましたが、ふやけた頭がぴりっとするやりがいあるゲームです。
