   アニメ調のグラフィックとほんわかしたストーリーで、好評を得ている「ポポロクロイス」シリーズの第2作目。物語は前作『ポポロクロイス物語』の2年後から始まる。主人公のピエトロ王子は氷の魔王を倒してから、冒険のない毎日にちょっと飽きていた。そんなとき、いきなり空が真っ黒になり、雷鳴と地鳴りとともに王国の一部が宙に浮き、何者かに飲み込まれるようにどこかへ消えてしまった。

   ピエトロは異世界へと連れ去られたポポロクロイスの大陸の謎を解きあかすため、そして、行方知れずになったお父さんを捜すために、再び仲間と冒険に出ることになる。本作は前作のデータを引き継ぐことができるので『ポポロクロイス物語』でやめている方には、ちょうど良い機会ではないか。ストーリーや戦闘など、まるで西洋のおとぎ話の雰囲気を持っているので殺伐とした展開になりにくく、子供から大人まで楽しめて、どこか心が癒されるRPGである。（樋口浩二）

ストーリーは完全に前作とはつながっていないので、それを期待しているとがっくり。前作のように、ナルシアや昔の仲間は出てこないので、戦闘での

チームはみんな傭兵。傭兵たちとはあんまり友情が芽生えてイベントが起きたりはしないので、ちょっと寂しい感じが・・・。　　　　　前作をプレイしてない人や、前作のストーリーに入れ込んでない人、ダンジョン大好き！という人にはオススメ。ダンジョンはすごく凝っていて、クリアした後も楽しめるので、その点ではお得。ダンジョンが中心になりがちなゲームが嫌な人は、ちょっともの足りないかも・・・

ポポロ伝統の優しさ重視なストーリーですが、前回とはまったく違う点･･･それはかなりのやりこみゲームになった点です！
ダンジョンはしょっちゅう変化するし、ストーリーが進むと拡大するし、攻略率まで確認できるしで前回とはまったく違います！
仲間も傭兵システムで総数18人の大人数です。

このメンパーを全員最高レベルまであげるとなるといったい何時間かかるのやら(-。-;)
さらに、エクストラステージまであるんです！
僕はついついやりこもうと力んでしまって120時間近くやりこんじゃいました。
まあこのゲームはやりこみ嫌いなかたには向きませんね。

前作登場のナルシアや白騎士が戦闘では使えないのがマイナス点ですし･･･最終的にあまり高評価ではないということですかね･･･

ポポロクロイス物語に続いて出された作品ですが、ポポロクロイス物語２は次の作品です。　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　つまり続編ではないということで、新しい世界で新しい仲間と冒険することになります。
