この作品から“ザ・スクエア”→“Ｔ‐スクエア”へとグループ名を改名。
これはあくまで個人的な意見ですが、
「LUCKY SUMMER LADY」に始まり、絶え間なくメンバー交代を繰り返しながら12作目の「YES，NO」に至るまでのザ・スクエア道のり
（厳密に言えば「脚線美の誘惑」からの道のり、かもしれません）。

そのすべてはこの１枚を生み出すためのプロセスに過ぎない、と思います。
ザ・スクエアは、この「WAVE」という作品を後の世に送るために1978年に結成されたグループ、とまで言えば、
コアなファンに怒られるかもしれませんが、私はそう信じて疑いません。
ジャケットの片隅に“コンテンポラリー・サウンドの粋を極めた会心作”、とあります。

そんな言葉でさえ陳腐です。

”Ｆ−１”路線を突っ走るのか期待していたが、う〜ん、なるほど。聴いていてゾクゾクする完成度の高い作品ですねー。何かのストーリー性を感じる内容で、とても面白いですねー。
まあ”Yure Christmas”はなかなかのもの。”Ｔ−ＳＱＵＡＲＥ”に改名して、新たな方向性を感じたアルバムだ。（１９８９年作品）
