脚線美の誘惑から継続していたメンバーが絶頂期にあったアルバムと思います。抜きん出たところというか、尖がったところない　聞き手が自然体になれるアルバムです。

おいしいディナーを食べたような錯覚を体感できるお勧めのアルバムです！！！

※このアルバムのおかげ(？)で当時ミステリアスだった電子楽器、”Lyricon”がメディアを通じオープンになったのでは？
未だ国内で”ウインドシンセ”が購入できるのはこのアルバムあったからこそ！感謝、感謝。

ADVENTURESというタイトルにふさわしく、まさに冒険をイメージしたTHE SQUARE時代の定番といえる1984年の代表作。クリスタルなサウンドから始まるタイトル曲はプロローグ(1)とエピローグ(9)により、このアルバム全体の起承転結をまとめ上げている。安藤氏の作曲が６曲、哀愁漂う当時のウイスキーＣＭ曲(8)を含め和泉氏が２曲、またシンセベースを用いた田中氏の曲(5)も長谷部氏のシンセドラムとともに躍動感あふれる。中でもクリアな安藤氏のギターと伊東氏のリリコンが印象深いオールアバウトユー(2)はTHE SQUAREの名曲中の名曲といえる。

THE SQUARE時代の初期〜中期の名盤として名高いアルバムです。
「脚線美の誘惑」辺りからグループとして方向性が見え出してきて、それがまとまった形で結集された作品と感じます。
個々の曲の完成度はもちろん、全体的なバランスも非常に優れています。
特に表題曲「Adventures」はアルバムの冒頭と最後で使われ、アルバムイメージを統一するのに非常に効果が上がっています。
（同様の手法は前作「うち水にRainbow」や安藤氏のソロアルバム「Melody Book」でも使われているが、効果はこのアルバムが断然上）
また、「7.Cape Light」や「8.Travelers」といった、旅情をそそるような曲もあり、まるで１枚のコンセプトアルバムであるかのような出来映えです。（いやコンセプトアルバムそのものなのか？）
他にも定番曲の2.、ピアノの旋律が印象的な3.（ピアノがリードを取ったのは録音時たまたま伊東氏が不在だったためらしい）、優しい心地にさせる4.、もろロックの5.、など、バラエティ豊かで、かつ統一感のあるサウンドが飽きさせません。
さすがにデジタル初期の録音だけあって、音の古さは否めませんが、一聴の価値はあるアルバムです。
それに…ジャケットの写真がさわやかで、すばらしいのです！（＞▽＜）ノさあ冒険旅行だっ！とわくわくするようなジャケットなのです。ＬＰレコードだった頃はジャケットが大きくて、すっごい良かったんだけどなあ〜。
