テレビ東京系アニメ『サイボーグ009』（石ノ森章太郎原作）の音楽を小室哲哉が担当し、オープニングテーマ「What's the justice」、エンディングテーマ「genesis of next」をglobeが担当することになった。

9分48秒という大作は、トランスの持つ高揚感とアニメの主題歌としてのドラマチックな展開がマッチして、新境地を開いたと言える。全く長さを感じさせない名曲。

それにしても、何回聴いてもMARCのラップの出だしの部分ではワクワクさせられる！！

僕は、かなり多数の trance の曲を集めていますが、それでもこの genesis of next は、初めて聴いた当時、とても感動しました。小室さんが作った曲の中でも完成度が高いにもかかわらず、あまり注目されていないのが残念です。

小室さんが作った trance は駄目・・・って思っている人も多いと思いますが、この曲はなかなかの恍惚感を得ることができる。また、Keiko の歌唱力の高さも良い。globe の中でもかなり僕の中で上位に位置する曲です。

平成サイボーグ００９の影響で好きになりました。
あまり評判がよくないみたいでショックでしたが、
個人的にはここまで聴いていて飽きない歌もないと思います。
頭がフワ~ってなるのが気持ちいい。
歌詞もCDを買うまでは断片的にしか理解していなかったけど、
それでもフレーズが心に響きました。
００９達のイラストもあってこの値段なら
平ゼロ好きにとって買って損はないです。
